A single-tier cake suits 12–20 guests and works well when dessert is served separately. Two tiers cover most gatherings of 40–70 guests. Three tiers are for larger events, or when you want the height for photographs.
Cake Base, Cream and Filling are chosen in that order, and the configurator only shows combinations that hold up in the finished cake. Vanilla sponge with cream cheese and berry filling is the most popular choice across statement cakes; pistachio sponge, Kyiv layers and Napoleon are available as premium bases.

Our main cake kitchen is on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We also have a collection and dispatch point near Gorgie Road, close to Haymarket.

Two to three weeks is comfortable for most statement cakes, and six to eight weeks for large tiered cakes. We do take shorter notice when the diary allows, so ask before assuming a date is closed.
